Objective:
To develop a web portal where visitors from all over
the world could meet each other and organize public
and private events. Advertisers can choose to place
banner ads in different zones and states.
Platforms, Tools, and Technologies
The website was developed using PHP/My SQL Server technologies.
It is hosted on a dedicated server.

Each user level has its own privileges.
Event system
Registered users can create public or private
events using simple templates. The events system simplifies
the organizational process by sending email invitations.
Each event can be commented and photos can be added.
All public events are searchable and any registered
user can join an event and invite others.
User profiles
Each registered user has his own profile that can be
used to introduce a registered user to an on-line community.
Profiles include personal preferences and system configurations,
photos, blogs, interviews, buddy lists, user statistics,
and rating. Additional management tools, such as address
book and calendar, integrate user profiles into the
event system. All registered users can exchange public
and private comments.
Advertiser panel
Advertisers have the same privileges as the registered
users plus access to advertising options. Advertiser's
payments are managed using PayPal. He can create banners
to be placed in different zones and regions. Advertisers
also have access to banner statistics and certian management
tools that help them keep track of how their ads work.
Admin panel
Admin panel has several sections that control various
parts of the website. All system maintenance and configuration
can be performed globally using an online control panel.
The entire system is managed from here: users, events,
photos, forum structure, blogs, votes, user comments,
advertisement banners, interviews etc. There is also
a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) content management
system for all static pages.
Additional features
Forum — the major component of this system.
Registered users can communicate with each other publicly
in different forums and create their own topics. Moderators
approved by administrators manage their forums and control
topics and comments posted by users.
Seach option — you can search anything, from
events and photo gallery to online users. Image search
can be done in both photo gallery and user profiles.
Voting system — it features two current votes
and the history of voting results.
